What is the best season to visit Urubamba?

Temperatures in the rainy season (October to April) vary between 50°F and 68°F. In the dry season (May to September) temperatures vary between 45°F to 65°F. In June and July, temperatures drop to 40°F.  However, there are also sunny days during the raining season. 

Can I get altitude sickness in Urubamba?

If you have already been in Cusco and your next stop is Urubamba, you are unlikely to suffer altitude sickness. However, you may feel dizzy or nauseous during the journey due to rough roads in certain sections. If this is your first visit, you may feel altitude sickness but the altitude in Urubamba is easily overcome by taking the journey slowly.
